I can recommend Glanllyn - Lakeside Caravan & Camping Park  although it can get crowded during the bank holidays.

We are booked on the C&CC site at the end of May so should be able to give a comparison then

We stayed at Pen y Bont some time ago and loved it. The only problem we found with it was that it was VERY muddy and our folding camper had to be towed out by the local farmer.  We haven't had much rain in North Wales for some time so it should be OK at the moment. It changed hands a couple of years ago and the price seems to have been hiked up a bit - it would cost us £20 a night now which is why we won't go again.

There is another one with a similar name further up the road but it's quite a long way and a pretty steep hill to walk back from town.

We're trying the C&CC site this coming weekend too.

Nora

There`s this one that we stayed at a couple of years ago.

Its right next to the Bala narrow gauge railway station.

Staying at C&C Bala soon, can anyone recommend a good eating house/pub to while away the dark evenings?

we stayed at Ty Isaf recently, writen comments but never got them posted, its a nice site if you have your own facicties ie in a carvan.

We stayed on the lower fields no loo and a long walk, there was just not enough and had a long wait every  morning the toilets at the farm were clean but old. The track is muddy and more suited to a 4x4.
