Hi Have booked this site for may weekend and just wondered if anyone had stayed here i know it is a bit expensive but hope its worth it

Hi Gerry, i was just reading the title and i thought ' have you seen the prices of that place' then i started to read your thread and that was the first thing you said

I read the reviews for that site and went to the website, it looked really nice and lots to do and i thought yep we'll go there.  Looked at tariff and quickly changed my mind.

So sorry can't help as i aint been

We have a booked a full month here in May it is our first time here but we have had friends that have stay here and they save it is excellent. I think for the month is was a good deal. We will be going every week and and the last week in May just hope it is good weather.

Hi Gerry

We went to this site last year not camping but in a caravan it is a nice clean site, toilets and shower block kept clean and tidy.  It is also quiet but with lots of families and well positioned for site seeing.

I think I read in our local paper that it has just been taken over so it may change- hopefully not  as it has a really good reputation locally.

We've stayed there a few times and always found it nice. Can get very busy in high season but we've never had a problem with noise. The whole place is kept very nice, clean and tidy.. There is a tatkeaway and the restaurant serves nice food. There's a decent shop on site too. Not much to do in the immediate area, although that depends on what you want. There's plenty of walking but a fair drive into the Lakes etc. I'm sure you'll enjoy it , it's a lovely site.

hi we stayed there from boxing day untill new year weather awfull time wonderfull exerlent site wodnderfull  people  would recomend to anyone, have a wonderfull time, well worth the extra.

stayed there last year for long weekend, nice site, well located for the lakes (altho frustrating roadworks on A66) toilet/amenieties spot on, nice takeaway/restaurant/shop  staff quite friendly too.def hope to go back this year. for an interesting drive to the lakes take the B6260 to tebay, then A685 to kendal.......WOW !
