There's a campsite called Dol Llys Touring Site in Llanidloes which is pretty quiet.

The river Severn runs through it.  Dogs have to be on a lead because there are sheep about but every campsite I've been to so far says dogs have to be on a lead so that's normal.

It must be a nightmare trying to find a site willing to accomodate that many dogs.  Most only allow two.  I've been to a lot of Adult Only sites which are much quieter than child friendly sites and also going out of season helps.

I think fforest fields in Builth Wells would be a good site out of season but it's going to take a lot of trawling through the searches to find a good site that allows lots of dogs, has good walks, no bar, no children, cheap tariff etc.........but I will keep you in mind when I'm searching

They are around, the good ones are kept v quiet, and off sites like this.

I'm not anti, and you would never know there were that many (dogs)

, as the largest is a Tibetan Terrier. I try not to allow them into the pub, too many bailey's and you never know!

There are lovely sites in Brecon, and on Gower. 'The best view' , on Gower site now has private security guards, and its a nice site, no nutters or drunks because of that. Sad is'nt it?

I was very sad at the rude comments of the chap earlier, i went through his past threads, and have his measure. So I for one will be using this site for research, only in the future, i suppose i should have complained to whoever? But, its interesting how he is just the sort of beer swilling bigot i go to avoid. ugh.

Bye folks! Happy whatever rings your bell

Aw, Pongo, don't take offence - that was a very odd post and you shouldn't take any notice of his ignorance. We'd camp near you and your dogs, you sound like just our sort of people (and dogs!).  My OH would be in his element surrounded by all those dogs.

Can't help with a site, though, I'm afraid, we like to use ones with hook-ups and toilets so not quite as basic as you.  Are you a member of either of the clubs?  Maybe you could find a CL or CS which would take your lot.  We stayed at a CL on Anglesey earlier in the year and, although they said dogs should be on leads, they had two of their own and didn't mind us letting ours off so they could all play together - mind you, we only have the one!

?????????? Am I missing something here, whos a Bigot. A question was asked & a few answers provided with the oddcomment thrown in, as always happens on here but from what I read there was no biggoted comments from anyone. I can only assume Pongo didnt like sprockets choice of venue or arthurdent picking up on a couple of points from previous points both of which were fair comment as far as Im concerned. I personally have no problem with being next to 11 dogs if as said " you dont even know there are 11"but its also my experience that little dogs are more likely to nip some ones fingers or shins usually followed by " oh baby dont do that its not nice my big brave soldier" or similar so Pongo please dont take offence at comments on an open forum but also dont expect everyone to "adore you little darlings".
