Hi there

we have just bought a new tent and want to go away in august for a week.  Does anyone know of a nice quiet place, possibly a fishing lake which we can camp by.  Dont want anything with too much on it

The Oaks at Glastonbury has it's own fishing lake.  It is adults only and has a small shop and a room with a pool table but no bar, entertainment,pool etc.  The facilities are very clean and high quality. It even has bathrooms!

Wyreside Lakes Fisheries at Lancaster, Lancashire. Big fishing goes on but they have a small bar that serves food and a small play area for the children. Very laid back - pitch where you want. If you want to venture out then the likes of the Lake District, Blackpool, Yorkshire Dales are all within a day trip. Good luck and enjoy.
