Looking for a good beach side campsite in Cornwall for June, anybody got any good ideas. We did Pentewan last year and Ithink it`s gonna be a tough act to follow. We like all the usual things, Beach, Bar, Pool. Thanks guys.

We're booked in at Wooda Farm Park , in Bude, which is fairly close to the sea. We've seen almost all good reviews on this and has come highly recommended... The website indicates they'd have most of the qualities you are looking for!
We've went to St Ives Bay holiday Park in Hayle for a few years prior to getting our camper, which is a lovely site with great security etc, and it's own beach just a few yards away through the sand dunes. We had chalets when we went, so I can't comment on the camping facilities, but they all looked pretty good, with two good bars and entertainment etc.
Hi, my first post I've been browsing this site for a while for ideas.
Just thought I would add. I've booked up 2 weeks in Cornwall in August. The first week, 4th - 11th will be spent at Bude Holiday Park the second week, 11th - 18th will be at The Atlantic coast caravan park. My wife, myself and 3 kids are all looking forward to it.
We've booked at Bude Holiday park for a few days in May just to see if we've missed anything over our 2 weeks away. It's our first camping trip.

We have beento Pentewan and thought it was brilliant but now we have a dog we have been to Harlyn Sands the last three yeare and it is brilliant in June. Wouldnt go later in the year it would be to busy. We are going again on June23 for a week. Cant wait. You will find a site report we did in the Campsite search section.
Just over the hill from Pentewan, visited during our stay in cornwall at easter, very impressed so much so we booked for early august. It has access to a beach, though was told its a bit of a climb back up to site.

You could try Holywell Bay near Newquay (10mins flat walk to beach). St Ives Holiday Village which is a large site next to the beach but dependant upon where you are on the site it could take you up to 15 minutes to get to the beach which is fantastic golden sands but a real uphill walk back to the site. Beachside Holiday Park in Hayle is very near St Ives Bay Holiday Village and Gwithian Farm is the other side of St Ives Bay.
We tend to use a number of beachside campsites as OH is a sun worshipper and can spend hours on the beach. There is also a great book which lists all sites which have a sea view
We've also been to Wooda in Bude and would highly recommend it. Very child friendly with farm animals, walks, tv/games room, lovely play ground etc. Food in the resturant was very reasonably priced too. We'd definately go back another year.
We've booked to go to Wooda farm at bude. Looks great. Does anyone know if you are able to fish at whitsun ( as its the closed season) & what is the fishing like?
Cheers

Bude is getting more and more popular......or so it seems! We can understand why though, as we live in Bude and it's fab!
See you all in the summer!!

I recommend Trevornick (between Newquay and Perranporth) too. Just booked for a week in July (it will be my 3rd visit). It is filling up fast though so get in quick. I thought I would be OK as I'm going before the schools break up but I couldn't get any of the pitches I originally wanted.
