nipped to see some friends who were camping at Park Coppice at Coniston at the weekend. Lovely quiet and clean site 20 mins walk away from the lake and village. A bit suprised to learn the management wouldn't allow the AA guy on site at 9pm to fix their car. The heavens opened whilst they were pitching the tent and they had to put their 2 small children in the car - leaving the cd on for entertainment. Needless to say they got a flat battery. They were in a small area of the site with only a few other tents none of which minded the AA man for half an hour or so.

its a lovely site, shame i wonder how many people have complained about the warden though if its the same one i complained about when i cancelled my membership.....because of him.

Hes happy when things go smooth, struggles a bit with anything out of his comfort zone I think!!

that was our thoughts, a lovely campsite but a bit of flexibilty and understanding wouldn't have gone a miss. AA man came back next morning but half the day had gone.

thats a real sorry state of affairs CC, maybe you too should cancel your membership and complain......you dont need that hassle when your trying to relax, its as though he has gone out of his way to make it as difficult as possible for you....sounds ridiculous.

Im sorry to hear you wasted your hard earned cash on a wasted weekend, as im sure it spoilt it for you......
