Phew !!!!

Just booked a lovelty site in Kirkby Lonsdale not too far from me about an hour and half up the road !!! on a good day !!!

I emailed loads of sites, on sunday night, BCC them all in so they couldnt see other recipients (sneaky but meant I only had to send one email)

this site emailed me back and said she had just had a cancellation so call now to book) and I beleive her as lotas of other places are booked.

I can let you know which sites have spaces from my replies if anyone is looking still, I emailed nothumberland and the lakes areas......

anyone else going to the same area?

or where are you going this weekend???

Hi I'm still looking for anywhere in the north basically - north yorks, dales, lakes, northumberland etc ... so very grateful if you can give details of those that had space left.... (I'll e-mail you direct also)

Hi, we've just booked in at Coniston Hall in the Lake District and I know theres still space left here.  Might have a sneaky drive up to Chapel Stile campsite at Bayesbrown Farm in Langdale as this is our first choice but I don't know if you have to book or not - their phone is always no answer and no email address.

We are off to the "Gart Caravan Park"(near Callander, Scotland) for 3 nights this weekend. We normally have a few visits to this site throughout the year, it's a great site and within walking distance into Callander for a few drinks etc. It's only about an hour's drive from home and the dual carraigeway from Dundee to Stirling is never really that busy on the way.

Was panicking as thought we were'nt going to get anywhere but found a place in Arrochar, Ardgartan, which is only about 45 mins drive from our house, so looking forward to that.

Just hope the weather stays good for the weekend.
