Hi Everyone,

We have been camping at St Ives Bay, near Hayle for the last five years and fancy a change. To be fair, it's got everything that we need, (swimming pool, bar, entertainment for the kids, nice pitches, excellent showers etc) but it's time for somewhere new!

We have browsed brochures and surfed the net but having checked out reviews etc we can't really come up with a site that matches St Ives Bay.

If you know of anywhere, that's close to the beach and has a bar, entertainment, good for teenage kids, we'd really appreciate your input.

Many Thanks

Craig & Sharon

Is it the campsite or area you are looking to change as there are many campsites on that side of the Cornish peninsula. You could try Beachside which is just down the road or even Gwithian Farm which has a number of good reviews and a pub over the road. Is being "really" close to the beach a must as Polmanter is also a very good site and well worthy of looking through the reviews.  Alternatively further up is Trevornick which has good reviews although I think it is expensive, and Holywell Bay both of which are in the Newquay area.

Dave - you will love Wooda - Brill site - really clean - we pitched our tent and went to the little takeaway for fish and chips - sat outside and ate them with a cup of tea - reasonable prices !!

Bude is really nice - we drove to launceston to see the mini railway but it was closed on a saturday !! madness

So we went to the otter sanctury near there - really nice !!

Bude is brill - we only stayed for 5 days - and still need to go back and see more.

Trevornick gets my vote as well.Very well kept site, with lots of facilities, both for adults and kids. Also some very nice pubs in the area.

We were there last year and we are going back again this Summer.
