Pinenut, You should definitely try an ADULT ONLY site if you are looking for clean and quiet. We have just had a week at a family site and although it wasn't full by any means, it was an indication to us how spoiled we have been by stopping at A/O sites for the past 2 years. There were children squabbling with each other, hollaring and shouting at each other as they raced around the campsite on either bikes or running.. Also, and I know we were probably guilty of this when we had our children with us, we found very few campers were interested in chatting this last holiday. They had their own itinery of entertaining the children (or just shouting at them to "Stop it Ryan") and no time to interact with other campers outside of their "gang". For us, it's got to be A/O sites from now on as we have become truly spoiled in old age... Nigel (the ugly one of the combination)
