Ok, I've left it late, what would be my chances of turning up Friday afternoon and waving cash at a site owner and him finding me a space. I don't need EHU, just a bit of grass.

Not a chance!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Bit of a risk to take but depends how far you travel, i have tried many sites by phone about a month ago and they were booked up. its gonna rain anyway so i wouldn't bother!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Why not go to a DA meet if you're a C&CC member, or the equivalent if you're a CC member?  I'm off to a DA meet and was told no need to book.

we're off on a C&CC rally and we don't have to book, so might be worth looking at, no ehu on rallies (well most of the time)

Im off to Dan yr Ogof this weekend, it looks like a lovely site (we hope). I called them on Monday and tried to book they said there is no need as they have never been full up! We shall have to see.

 just got kitted up for a weekend camping, new tent,equipment coming out of my ears. Only to find nowhere to go camping....everywhere we try is fully booked!!! wife devistated, little boy mortified, dad pulling hear out !!!!  absolute camping virgins, does it show?  any suggestions anyone...PLEASE ! great website though.

Sounds like someone will be trying his new gear out in the back garden.

Seriously though; the best advice I can give is to book early. Sounds silly but with Camping and Caravanning being so popular the sites fill up.
