Pop up the road to Portmeirion - that's where Prisoner was filmed....it's like our very own Riviera. A little pricey to get in to the town, but well worth the money.
Barmouth is nice, lovely beach and some interesting little shops off the main touristy bit.
Yep, Harlech Castle too (the walk around the walls gives me the heebie jeebies!) 
Love shell island - all shells one side, lovely soft sand dunes the other. Best of both worlds. Yes, it can be windy, but if it looks like being breezy you can pitch around the other side off the ridge.
