Hi Everyone.

Next weekend 11th May 2007 we would like to go and see Bakewell with our friends from Stafford who have a caravan for a 2 night stay.

Ideally we would like to be next to each other even though we have a large tent and they have a caravan.

Trouble is some sites are tents only and some caravans only.

Any advice on a reasonably priced site that can accomodate both would be fantastic. They must also allow a Labrador dog.

So many sites are treating the weekend as HIGH Season already.

Thankyou everyone i do hope you can help.

Greenhills in Ashford on the Water is a short walk from Bakewell.

http://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/sites/details.asp?revid=2330

It allows caravans and tents although they are on separate fields. It also allows dogs but it charges high season for ALL weekends.

Don't know if the link works it's the first time I've tried it

I've heard good and bad things about greenhills, tho never stayed there personally.

Newhaven, between Ashbourne and Buxton take tents and vans and if you ask, will pitch you next to each other.  Its an ok site, basic but clean.

Racking my brains to try and think of some others, will post again if i can think

why is there so much month left at the end of the money?

Hi,We went to greenhills 2 weekends ago and we really enjoyed it,clean loos and showers, pub and small shop, playground and football field.. The only problem is that the caravans are seperate to the tents but the campsite is only very small so this would probably not be a problem. It is about a mile into Bakewell so a lovely walk which kids managed. We are definetly going again.
