Does anyone know of a site near to Elvington Air Show where the planes actually fly over the site? Thanks

No but you can camp at the airshow, its a bit pricey and I know you don't have electric , don't suppose theres showers, I know portaloos are provided so am assuming thats the only facilities there is. I think it was about 57.00 per person, thats for the full weekend.  Thought about it myself.  But we'll just go for the day with a picnic and beach tent.

I was keeping this my little secret .

We stayed last year and have already booked for this August.

As said there's no Showers or EHU and the there's only portaloos but on the saturday and sunday they're kept really clean (Friday they were smelly )

But we got there Friday about 4pm and watched the planes come in and the model jets practice then you have all Saturday and Sunday to watch the show which was good last year as it rained on the saturday. You don't have to leave until the Monday either.

This is one place where I don't think anyone'll mind me using a Generator during the day .

Last year I think we paid around £70 but that's for a family ticket 2 adults 2 kids for the whole weekend.

We worked it out and just for the day a family ticket would have cost around £5 less so brill deal in my eyes.

West Yorkie... Is the camping area far from the show it self?

Do they provide fresh water?

I am thinking of going as the Vulcan is flying this year.

The show is £70 pre booked this year. click

The camping area is at the side of the runway so you couldn't get much closer.

Fresh water is provided by bowsers at regular intervals, there are also huge flat tanks for waste water.

Each morning a van from the local shop calls with papers, bread milk and a selection of goods from the shop.

Sorry Kipper I missed your post by about 2 month. As goodair said above your right at the side of the runway and can watch the show from the comfort of your tent and away from the commoners lol.

Unfortunatly the Vulcan isn't flying yet so won't be at the show
