Hi. We're wanting to take our 2 10yr olds to a site (small, friendly, mostly tents) in North Wales. Somewhere with a river or stream & space for games would be grand. Thanks
Don't forget to leave a review of the campsites you have visited this year or last!
I agree with Belinda H . Riverside is great. The Seiont runs round the back of the site and the tents can pitch right next to it. At the bottom of the site the kids can paddle & mess in the river itself ( obviously supervised ). real nice site, In fact we've just booked to go in July.
Caernarfon is a couple of minutes away and with the North Wales coast there loads to do.
Riverside will definately be great for you. I have three children aged 11,6 and 3 we are going there in June for 4 nights, again in July and again in August. We are also going to Home Farm in Anglesey. No stream but very family friendly, fantastic toilet and shower block and a huge playing field for them to play on. A small beach is only a five minute drive away.
Not everyones cup of tea but Aberystwyth holiday villagehas a shallow river right round it on 3 sides plus very close to the town & beach , club house ,pool & swimming pool.
If you want something quieter with EHU right next to the river then try here this is a great little site & allows camp fires too.
Riverside is a good site and I like it , but I feel it is expensive. By the time you add up all the extras the price is similar to the plassey which is in a different league.
Beddgelert is a nice village. I have stayed in Cae Du there which is a nice site with a nice, close, safe walk along the back road into the village.
Aberystwyth holiady village has plenty to do day and night, but is a large busy site.
When we went to Hafen Ny Mor, North Wales, we went on a trip to the Greenwood Forest park, the children were 3,1 & 6 months and they loved it, there was so much to do. i would recommend a visit there for anyone with children.
