Please help we are looking for a campsite in the Lake District. We would like to go away for a week (sat - sat) anytime between July + Sept. Needs to accept dogs at least 1 (pref 3). Needs to accept children (2 under 2). Our tent is an Aztec Facon 8 (7.5m X 5.5m). We need an EHU. We would also want toilets and showers on site. We take the babies out in back carriers so we don't need to be able to use buggies. Any suggestions would be greatly received.

don't know if this any good but we found the ullswater marine camping and caravan park absolutely fantastic, really friendly and a warm welcome. Also park foot park is a bit more lively but the same a warm welcome but a little more expensive. would recommend either of them depending on wether you like quiet or lively.

We camped at Park Cliffe near Windermere, it's one of the best sites we have ever used.
It has fantastic showers and family bathrooms, very clean, a shop and cafe, all of which we can recommend.
You can either book a pitch with an amazing view of the lake or just pitch up where you like.
Have a great time, we live in Carlisle, so it's not too far for us to go, just hope the weathers good
Thanks for these, I have been looking at a couple near Keswick, Burns Farm or Church Stile Farm, does anyone know if they are any good? Also thinking about joining C&C Club to use site in Keswick, does anyone know from what age you have to pay for children? Mine are 18 months & 6 months, woud I have to pay extra for them? Also doesn't say if I have to pay extra for the dog or EHU. Thanks for your help.
we have been to a lot of sites in the lakes and one that i would strongly recomend is The croft in Hawkshead, it has excellent shower facilities, very near to the village with good pub food good co-op cheap for all your food and some lovely walks or if you are considering keswick then try Castlerigg farm or Castlerigg hall
good luck
------------- big al9 says enjoy everything.
