We're looking to take 6 families all with kids for a weekend "summer camp" late June / early July.

We'd like to camp all-together in a large tented village (about 8 or 9 tents some large some small).

Requirements are:

Right next to beach for swimming / rockpooling / boating / fishing

Allow large family groups

Nice loos!!

Within 3 hours of Macclesfield.  (So probably North Wales?)

Any recommendations?

It's right next to a lovely beach and is great for rockpooling etc. 

Try Shell Island, near Barmouth - we went at the bank holiday, took us 2hrs 45 mins from Macc. It's next to the beach, massive sand dunes, rock pools & fishing.  There's a games room, shop and bar on site.  You're not allowed to pitch within 20metres of other campers (unless you're together of course!) so get loads of room as well!  The toilets are ok... And there's a village within walking distance.
