I know it's very late in the day, but I would love to take the family camping for the next bank holiday. Does anyone know of any tent pitches free in the Midlands or North of England.

not sure about that area but i've had replies from a couple of no frills sites in wales that have availability. I suppose it depends what sort of site you want. we aren't bothered with EHU for short breaks and find it gives us more options, Claire

We are off to Vale of Pickering for the bank holiday, we booked ages ago but i do know that they had a few pitches left without ehu in the rally field.

at this site its first come first served, no bookings.

if you were to get there before friday tea time you should get a pitch no problem, we did a few weeks back.
