Well we have just bought a new tent and its almost 25 ft by 13 ft so way to big for havens normal pitches which vary from 19ft to 21 ft , so when calling there general number to enquire about pitches i was told to ring the individual park to find out if they would accept our tent and whether we would have to pay for double pitch or pitch and half, well i've been on a mission this week and have almost completed ringing all the parks that accept tents with EHU.
But general rule of thumb is that you need to ring site to book and check availability and also advise them of the size of the pitch you require.
I will make a seperate posting on here with a list of which sites accept larger tents and whether they are single pitch or double.
Yes all the awful replies are very much true - I'd already booked so I thought I'd still go and my friend had been about 4 years ago and said it was ok. It was horrible - the pitch itself was fine and the club was ok but the pool wasn't up to much and was dirty and please don't get me ranting on about the toilets - never seen anything so dirty - never, ever again!
But thank you for all your replies - wished I'd looked into it before going but I know better now!
Cheap at times for the pitch. Toliets, well what can be said!! Costs a fortune in the arcades and clubs if you have kids.
Also when we were there last year. It rained was windy and rained all weekend, being on the coast it was pretty bad. Quite a few tents got wrecked and people had to pack up early and go home on the Saturday.
Next door but one to Blue Dolphin is the Flower of May camp site.
Stayed there for 3 nights last week and would definitely go back again. Had a walk around Blue Dolphin and Crows nest but found Flower by far the best.
