Hi, I have left it a bit late to book. Looking for fri/sat night spring bank holidays. Does anyone know of any sites with any vacancies for a caravan with EHU North Yorkshire/Co durham area. There still vacancies on Haven sites but thats my last resort and I don`t want to pay there stupid prices for two nights.

Thanks.

You could try Byreside near Consett, we stayed there Easter week, it's a nice site and handy for touring around. £9.50 a night.

I checked dozens of sites in Yorkshire with no luck.  I didn't look Co Durham though!

I hope you manage to get in somewhere.

Hi, have you tried streets head camp site, they had vacancies last week when we booked, if you go on the campsite search and type in Leyburn you will find it their, it is ideal for the forbidden corner in middleham, great for kids and also for asygarth falls you can spend hours there the scenery is lovely.Hope this is of some use

Sorry slightly off topic, but if you do get booked in at the Leyburn site I think you need to pre-book tickets for the Forbidden Corner, as far as I know you can't just turn up.

I know this isn't really the area you wanted, but it may be of some use to someone. We had to cancel a block bookibg of 5 pitches at Gill Head Farm in the Lake District yesturday due to illness within the family unfortunatley, so if anyone wants to go to the Lakes, give them a go.

It sounded really nice so we were really sad to have to cancel.
