hiya people, going on our 1st outing next weeked and was wondering if anyone could recomend a decent site around the filey/scarborough coastline.ive read mixed reviews of a few site and we cant make up our mind.were not to botherd about pubs or clubs on the site just stuff for the kids and maybe a little shop.ehu, good clean toilets and showers is a must........cheers

Vale of Pickering is a lovely site just 15 mins drive away (no club but has playground). Flower of May is a lively site with club on the coast road. Judging from posts in the Sites forum all popular sites will be booked up for the Bank Holiday by now, and many insist on a 2-3 night minimum stay. So at this stage it might be a case of grabbing what you can get - make sure you ring up first to avaoid disappointment!

Cayton Village about 4 miles south of scarborough. No club but couple of nice pubs close by (one does regular evenign entertianment). Shop on site for basic, play area for kids. About 3/4 to beach. Excellent facilities. Weve been 4 times in 2 years and only not going this year because the kids want to go back to mid wales to see the dolphins

Jacobs mount in Scarborough itself and scalby camping and caravan site are ok i hear, theres one at wykeham too called St helens or something like that. Further up the coast there a couple of the road between scarborough and whitby but i aren't sure of their names unfortunately
