could any of you recommend nice sites in rural locations with a swimming pool. I would prefer any where in the Midlands or Yorkshire areas.

hi hales hall is not a very nice site and there pool is dirty not a good site  i know this is not midlands but the plassey is a good site with pool  and good faclities  have alook on camp site search

We've stayed at Callow Top nr Ashbourne a couple of times and have found it to be very clean, well maintained and the staff are helpful.  A nice walk into Ashbourne itself, which is a lovely town.  Pub and shop on site.  Free hot water for pot washing but showers are 20p for 4 minutes which we didn't see as a problem.

we have also been to the ranch in selby a few times, lovely and clean and really nice facilities and people.

Hi

If you don't mind the South Midlands then I can recommend the Ranch near Evesham. Its about 25 minutes drive from Junction 3 on the 42.

Pool is heated (allegedly......)

HI,

Have to agree about Hales Hall. Had booked there few years ago to be near Alton Towers, but drove in and straight out again, looks awful. Wasn't even anyone about to tell that we weren't staying.
