Hi there,
We are a young couple (early 20's)looking to go on our very first camping trip hopefully this weekend! We are complete novices and would really appreciate some advice as to what camp sites would be best to visit. We would like to visit Scarborough and the surrounding areas with a few pubs in walking/bike riding distance as well as things to do/visit reasonably close to the campsite (pref by bike ride)

Any other advise for novices would also be very useful!!

  this  is a nice little site, about 20 minutes walk to the pubs in filey. good little pub circuit!!!

Cayton Village site is about 4 miles south of scarbrough with about 3 pubs close by

Managed to get in at Flowers of may for 3 nights. I know there's a pub on site , anyone know if there are any other kid friendly pubs   within walking distance just in case the one one site is to busy.

Just down the road at the entrance to flower of may is the Plough pub which is child friendly and also owned by the flower of may.

we're now looking at the whitby area so if anyone knows of anywhere nice in that area, or anything interesting to do, please let us know.
