Me: I like interesting walks, anything natural, something different, near a beach, sunsets, sunrises, so long as it's outdoors.  Him: he likes the home comforts, near a loo, showers, a pub, takeaway. I also like these thing.   Has anybody got any recommendations, that can please both of us.

Have a look at conwy touring park, close to a town (conway), beautiful beaches (rhos on sea, penmemawr etc.) with a pub and takeaway on site, great views of conwy valley great for walking. Its a big site but because its built on and around a mountain and split into smaller plots of around 12 tents its got that cosy feel where you really get to know people.

If i was going to design a campsite taking all the best bits fo all the sites ive been to (plan for when i retire ) it would be pretty close to this one.

reasonable prices too.

p.s. where abouts was you thinking of ?

Thanks I8mud - I was looking at Wales.   I've looked at that site and fancied it, but was a bit confused about all the colours????  Are they all on different levels.

We usually go to Dyffryn Ardudwyy Seadside Estate, which is brilliant, and ticks all the boxes, but after going about 6 years in a row, it's getting boring now.

Hi kaymate, The colours are just different areas so you know where your pitch is i.e. red 11 or blue 24 (house!)

All the seperate areas are like glades with trees / bushes around them and have seperate toilet/shower blocks.

Have a Day out there i'm sure they would let you have a look round if you asked them, but i really couldnt praise the site enough. It really gets the balance between peaceful site and right facilities spot on (christ i should be on commision here! )

Hope you find what youre looking for

regards simon.

Dear Me...

If you're aged between 18-30 (and like older men), have a body like Marilyn Monroe and are extremely rich... Then I like all of those things too and I have a nice cosy tent!...

P.S. I'll buy 'Him' a six pack and a chinese to keep him happy while you're away!...
