Simply lie and tell them there are only six of you in a larger tent. I have never had anyone, or even heard of anyone coming around doing a headcount.

I imagine groups of six is the limit to stop gangs of young men gathering and being a nuisence all night or there may be a legal aspect to the minimum of six ruling I don't know to be honest but I wouldn't mention how many there are of you when you book......

If in doubt, do it anyway!!!!!!

Are you looking for a site which is like Havens etc with everything on or do you like to make your own entertainment?  We have an eight berth tent and although four of us sleep in in we don't take up any less room!!

Get another tent and go as a two parties and book two pitches., I know it will be a bit more expensive, but it is a solution.

Have you actually asked them - or are you going by their descriptions?   If you explain its a family group maybe the policy would be different - or then again maybe not - I guess they could be worried that the kids will be left to run riot?

Hi Elsbys

Just got back from an ideal site for you next to Keswick. There was no restrictions on size of tent, cars or gazebo's, just head count only there must be many sites like this.

Hi
Most sites do not charge for children, under 5 so they do not count.Tell them the amount of people you want to pay for,no lie's and every one will be happy,
