hello all

I have been trailing through the campsite searches trying to find inspiration & a site suitable for a family (2A)with 4 children aged 2, 3, 13(in the scouts so doesn't mind camping) & 14(teenage girl who NEVER wants to camp EVER!). But i was hoping for a bit of 1st hand reccomendation

about a 3 hour (max) radius from North Herts (A1 J9) - IOW considered but we will need to take 2 cars.

need a large pitch (tent is 6x5m less ropes) that also allows seperate day shelters too (3x3m). Ex / clean facilities (good showers, family bathroom, laundry, wash-up). EHU not needed. extras like good play area & pool, bar entertainment would be good.

was wondering if one of the big 'Haven' type sites are a better option to keep the teens amused. Looked at Sandy Balls, but they don't allow gazebos. or should these sites be avoided like the plague. We've just come back from a very wet weekend at Deers Glade, despite the weather i loved the site, big pitches & ex facilities, but think it would drive the teens insane

I guess i want to find something that says to the teen 'see camping's not so bad after all'. but it was bad enough when we took her to a keycamp static last year (never again!!). or should we just not bother & just stick to taking the tots who are just delighted to be in a tent wherever we are???
