Cheers for the info peeps, you've helped to reassure me that we've booked into a cracking place and who knows, it might be one we'll use again in years to come.
I've since had another couple of nice email from the chap and in one of them he did indeed offer to site our tin tent for us but as we only had our all singing all dancing whoopy doo motor mover fitted last year....I'm eager to play some more with itOnly way this ole decrepit can make herselg useful for pitching and hitching
So far as the entertainment etc. goes PP, we're not exactly party animals and in allllll the years we've been going to Pentewan we've never once been upstairs in the clubhouse and only used the downstairs pub bit about twice for an evening meal
Tbh, both hubby and I are more than content for peace and quiet, especially in the evening when he's happy to watch the box if we're not sitting outside enjoying the evening air, while I enjoy reading whatever books I've taken with me if we don't have..........a net connection
We've been going to the Mevagissey area for donkey's years and actually spend most of our time around the harbour, fishing but have found a new nice places for meals if not eating in the tin tent. Apart from the ultra busy Ship Inn, at Pentewan village there's another lovely place called the Polgooth Inn near The London Apprentice but the tiny road in to it can be a bit hairy! To think that there's actually a caravan storage place down that same narrow stretch is just terrifying!!!
I also did the virtual tour thingy on their website and have to say that the shop looks defo larger than the dinky one we've had on Heligan Woods which is just down the road from Tregarton, (and also the sister site of Pentewan).
We love Lobbs farm tooJust wish I'd never discovered their delicious white chocolate though
Keeping everything crossed for some decent weather coz we've not been too lucky with that for the past few years when in Cornwall
One year we went earlier and still lost out on decent weather managing only two glorious days.....the day we arrived and the next!
So....anybody heading for South Cornwall for the last two weeks in August.......take your wellies!
