hi all

this will probably be a hard one. i really want to take my son to cornwall praa sands area if pos. we will be going on train so need a site near to beach and cheap as pos. only want a basic site so toilet and showers all i require.its so exp to take kids away when you dont drive but we really need a break

Hi Gill.  I am presuming you mean Perran Sands area?  Only 1 I know of is Haven Site.  Perran Sands itself - right on beach - takes about 20 mins walk on beach to Newquay itself! Busy there but has all usual amenities.  If you book with touringcaravans.co.uk in advance - (the farther in advance the cheaper)  Their customer service tel: 0870 2423333 if you don;t have a van yourself - they may be able to advise you better.

Found this one 400yrds from the beach   http://www.theoldfarmpraasands.co.uk/index.php have'nt stayed there but looks ok

as a local perran sands is near perranporth  quite a way from newquay 

 pra sands is between helston and penzance

you wont be able to get a train to the destinations you will need the bus from penzance  train station or newquay train station.

might work out costly
