Was just wondering if anyone could help me choose a campsite for me and my boyfriend. We were after a nice campsite pref in the lakes or the north somewhere.
We were wanting somewhere that has some nice country pubs, nice places to walk, not too noisy and generally somewhere a little bit different, with showers!
hahaha I know im picky! Just thought id get everything in there and see if anyone had any ideas! any will do! will appreciate anything anyone comes up with!! xx

Go to Ingleton near to me - 3 Peaks, Waterfalls and White Scar Caves. Its not over crowded like the lakes and if you like pubs and walks its got it. The Forest of Bowland is near by. Or you could just do all the 3 peaks. 24 Miles but its fantastic.
Cheers John

Ingleton is lovely, we used to camp up near the waterfalls on a very basic site, a field with a tap, and sheep in it, now it's a field full of thistles.
we love Castlerigg Hall at Keswick. Fantastic views, great facilities and the small hotel on the entrance to the site serves good grub in the small bar (crag bar) .
Plenty of good walks, handy for the shops in Keswick and loads of country pubs in the area. Heavenly :))
