I've already received advice from the TT section which was invaluable. I'm off to pick up my trailer tent this weekend and I just need somewhere to take it. I know it's a bit late to book which is why I'm asking again for some help. I've tried searching in this section for "Dorset" but it just keeps coming back to the forum menu for some reason. I have 4 nominations at present to choose from : Seadown, Highlands, Freshwater and newlands. Are there any more to throw into the pot that maybe aren't so well known.
Unfortunately our booking window is for the last week in July and first week in August. I have to say we certainly wouldn't have picked these two weeks by choice but that's what we have to work with. We're looking for a quietish place with good clean facilities and a play area for the two girls (5 & 7). This is just to keep them out of mischief for a couple of hours in the evening. It doesn't have to be right next to the beach, shops or pubs but obviously not too far away. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You have picked probably the busiest weeks of the year, but never mind. It all depends on which part of Dorset you want to go to. I would suggest either Birchwood at Wareham or Norden farm at Corfe.. Look at the reviews and I think you will almost certainly get into Norden. We can recommend both sites.
we went to the inside park, blandford forum, dorset last year - fab site probably one of the best we've stayed on, great play area, lovely clean facilities, large pitches, very well kept site, loads to do in the area however as you are going the busiest time of year you may have trouble getting booked...good luck.

Can thoroughly recommend Seadown. It's immaculate, quiet and handy for everything. We stayed there during the Whitsun weekend and would love to go back. We tried to book in for this weekend but they're fully booked so you might need to phone soon and you're likely to be disappointed.
Someone else recommended Inside Park - we've booked to go there for the August Bank Holiday. Again it looks lovely and the surrounding area sounds great.
Good luck - hope you get somewhere suitable.
