Hey up all, before delving into the caravan buying (still looking) i want to take my two and a half year old son away camping in the tent for a couple of nights but cannot seem to find a good site not to far from manchester ( incase he hates it ) i have looked through the various sites in blackpool, southport etc but i was wondering if anyone here had recently visited or know of a good site where it will be nice and safe for him to run round burning some energy off and has sone facilities incase it rains. thanks for any advice
all the best Kirk

I too would be interesed in this , I have 2 year old and it's no fun finding things to do when it's really bad weather is it ?
I have been to Conway touring park (think that was what it was called ) wasn't my fav site but little un loved the indoor play centre there so happy child happy Mummy.
I too am interested in the north Wales / Anglesey areas if anybody could help ?
The Plassey in Wrexham is a fantastic site and great for little ones, my son is 2 so I know what it's like keeping them entertained. they have a good play area and all the pitches are around a big field where they can just run around freely. It's also a 5 star park and premier park so all the facilities are spotless which is also a must for us, plus just takes us under an hour.

Hi Cath, We were there last October and there were tents on there then, but you could be right! On the UKCS links there is still the tent logo under "units accepted" but on the Windy Harbour web-site itself, there is now no mention of tents. Perhaps someone can enlighten us!
