hmmm, the first thing would be to recommend fisherground campsite in the lake district to you. its a lovely cfampsite, you can have fires and theres a children's play area to muck about on if you want a laugh. what i would say though is all to book seperately or you'll get people shaking their heads down the phone at you... make sure you go to a site with no pitch markings so you can pitch anywhere! oh, and welcome to the site!

Hi Claire, welcome to UKCS

Opposite coast to you, but Crows Nest  near filey, Scarborough seems to take young groups.

My son, his girlfriend and mates have been going there since they were teenagers and say lots of young people go there.

Unfortunatly some act irresponsibly by driving too fast round the site in the dark and think everyone else wants to hear their music and conversations into the early hours, etc which spoils everyones holiday . Afterall, it is a family site.

Site wardens often eject the worst offenders swiftly. And its bad behaviour by the few that spoils the enjoyment and adventure for other young people by less and less campsites willing to take a chance on younger campers.

If you`re considerate towards other campers you shouldn`t have a problem

Good luck with your search and have a great time!

Rick

Its a bit of a long drive but the water leisure park in skegness has a field especially for young singles, they will charge you a good behaviour deposit that is refunded if you behave. http://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/sites/details.asp?revid=1676 & you can go fishing & waterski-ing too.

Hi l would've thought any campsite would be ok with people having a laugh at the weekend, it's the weekend after all! And if they don't like it, then just nip into the woods and have a picnic ... besides, if someone does complain, then ply them with wine and enjoin them to celebrate with you, but if they still hold back, then, yeah, picnic in the woods would be the next thing, it's all good.
