My better half and myself are looking to tent maybe around York, or even the dales, but have no clue where is nice. We would prefer an adult only site as we enjoy a BBQ and a beer or three (nothing excessive of course). Any Ideas would be welcomed. New to the site
Thanks,
Karlah and Paul

Ashfield Caravan Park is very good. Not adults only, but wardens live on site and would deal with rowdies very promptly! Aussie barbecues available for small charge, facilities very good, etc. Close to Park & Ride. Highly recommended.
Take a look at the Wolds Way website. It's near Malton which isn't an expeditionary distance from York. It's a quality site if a little windy due to being at the top of a hill.
We have just come back from Willow Bank Caravan Park, just outside of York. It is an adult only site with excellent facilities and a new farm shop/cafe which newly opened whilst we were staying there. It is perfect for the park and ride into York which is about 2 minutes away and only cost us £2.00 each return which was a bargain !!! 24 Hour Tesco just down the road for all your BBQ stuff and Beer !!!!
Field was lovely pitched up next to the horses, the owner even let me go with her at tea time to feed them with my carrots fresh from Tesco !!!!!
If you go make sure you have lots of 50p's for the showers but well worth the 10 minutes you get ! We will definately be going back

Try YCP York Caravan Park (http://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/sites/reviews.asp?revid=6567) - it's a new site that opened this year. I would say that though as I'm the owner! - it is in the White Rose finals for 'Best Newcomer To Tourism' though, so must be doing something right!
