we have just returned with oh kids 9 and 3 from first trip in our royal tent to inside park,it was lovely ,great site helpful staff had a great view of a field with sheep in kids loved it.rained every day but it bother us kids loved the puddles.great facilities neighbours were a nightmare,it was a group of men with their children in four or five tents walked through our pitch rather than go round which at night with their torches shining in was bad enough .then there was the football outside our tent at 10.30 at night, suppose they didnt want their tents damaged ,they did go to ball area next day though then we had them shouting at the children that they were too noisy and should go to sleep at 1am.to top it the men sat outside laughing and talking loudly til gone 2am .

but it was a nice place and they left on sunday so had one peaceful night .met some very friendly caravanners but im afraid to say the tent people werent friendly ,they were a grumpy bunch smiled said hello and sometimes got a hello but wasnt impressed.will hopefully find the friendly bunch next time cos we have our beer ready for the evenings, daytimes well anytime really!!.

Sorry you met a bad bunch on your trip, these men with their kids were clearly bad mannered and would probably have been grumpy in any circumstances but of course most people are not like this and campers on the whole are a friendly bunch.

Funnily enough the only time we had bad neighbours was in similar circs when a group of dads with their kids arrived on a site in the Cotswolds.

The Dads did not control the kids at all and let them run wild around the camp day and night, they said they were doing a weekend of 'Dads and kids Bonding' - seemed more like 'Dads drinking and kids Ramaging weekend' to me.

Hi outdoor crew - we stayed at inside park for 2 weeks last summer - it is a fantastic place, the pitches are massive - we have a vango aspen700 dlx tent and it fitted on the pitch as if it were a 3 man tunnel or something!  we also had the car, trailer, site picnic table, had windbreak up and still so much space for the kids to play and ride their bikes on the pitch! - the people next to us had a 26 foot caravan sideways on the pitch and there was still about 4m between us - to be honest we could have had another aspen tent behind us and another in front and still had space...on the downside some of the pitches are a little slopey but it's an extremey well kept site and I am sure you will really enjoy it, just a few minutes from the town but it feels remote, its a very relaxing place and the kids just loved it - I hope you enjoy your stay, quite jealous really want to go back there soon myself!.

yes you have to get your booking in early with that one! - have to say though finding it more difficult to get bookings virtually anywhere these days..booked our summer trips up in march this year and still found a few that couldn't accomodate us!? - why? is it because more people booking up seasonal pitches with their caravans or something?

We  stayed at this  sight for   9 days  in August   two years  ago  - for a quieter  pitch with less passing  'people traffic'  try asking for a pitch in 'The Glades' .
