Sherwood forest campsite have just called to say the five pitches we have booked for this weekend are flooded....feel so sad....even with the weather we were all looking forward to a weekend away from it all, having a laugh....

Still fingers crossed we can re arrange it....Travis and James Morrison are playing at sherwood pines and we were hopeing to hear the music....

Oh well another boring weekend at home..more than likely all campsites are suffering too...

cheers

keren.

We've not had too much rain here in Oxfordshire. Perhaps you need to travel a little further afield.

yep us too - the weather will be fine and the Cotswolds is the perfect place to get away from it all. Even if it does rain, I know a lovely restaurant in Bourton on water that will ensure that everyone has at least one good memory !!

We`re going away on Monday to Derbyshire, I`ve just seen some photo`s of their flooded roads, I`m wondering how long it will take, should we have no more torrential rain, for the water to subside and the roads to be passable again. It`s not looking good at the moment .  We want to visit Dovedale and Eyam, we`re staying at Longnor Wood, it`s a lovely site but I do want to be able to do a bit of sightseeing on a couple of days.

So I will just go along and hope that they have a table for me
