We are booked on the Bagnol camp site in Trearddur bay this Friday.  Is it a good site or would you recommend somewhere else. hubby is scuba diving in Trearddur bay, so want something close to beach for kids.

Hi lou and welcome to ukcs. I have not stayed at this site but if you use the campsite search button above and put in the details you can read reviews from people who have stayed there. Trearddur bay is beautiful though. Hope that helps

Hi Kate

I have used this site many times - we have had a caravan for years, still got it - but my husband scuba dives and we decided to buy a large tent for the weekends away.  So my big concern is the toilet facilities as with the caravan - we had one to use at night, but obviously with the tent we do not.

Have read the reviews and its a bit hit and miss.

Guess we will have to try it and see what happens.  Its ok for the men, its me and my daughter.

i like nice toilets for me and my girls too!  reading the reviews would probably put me off but to be honest its only for a weekend and already booked so just go for it! I have been to many sites over the years that i knew nothing about some were great, some awful. Its all part of the experience lol. Have a great time!

Hows the weather been.  Hubby in panic mode over the diving.

We have a Royal Biarritz 6 - hoping they will let us pitch a big tent. 1st time out with it.

Stayed at Penrhyn Bay last weekend, weather was OK up until Saturday evening then did it rain.

    We went through to Trearddur last Friday evening and couldn't believe how quiet it was.

Hi Coastal Taff,

Just a quick question - how did you find your stay at Penrhyn Bay? (Apart from the weather that is!) How were the toilet facilities as I couldn't get in to view them?

just back from home farm near benllech, site was excellent nice and clean toilets, weather was not kind, but will be back again , as my son loved this site

Just got back from a quick drive over there.

The facilities block is close to the campsite so not a long way to run to the loo! They are very spacious toilets and the showers have plenty of room for you and your girl to share. There are also hairdryers. (Sorry, couldn't really get to see the fellas loos!)

Washing up facilities - there are two large sinks so I'm sure your fella will cope with the pots!

They have a laundry facility and also a 'food hall' which is a room full of vending machines selling crisps, chocolate, hot & cold drinks. So start saving your change!

All in all it's a nice site, I might even stay there imyself one day!

Hi Phoenix Lady , Toilet and shower facilities were great , we went over to Sandy Beach to spend the evening in the pub on there. Nice beer , good prices but the only thing being this is bistro first with the majority of the space taken up by diners. We have yet to find a good ' kid friendly' clubhouse on anglesey.

 We used to enjoy the facilities at St Davids but now refuse to pay £28 a night in low season.
