This would be our second camping trip. We have booked to go away on Sunday to Norfolk for a few days, but the server weather warning is putting us off. Have 3 kids 11, 4 & 3 year old.If we decided not to go because of the bad weather, what’s the norm would we get our money back, we have paid in full already.

I dont know how your site works, but the one we go to, we pay a £20 cancellation fee, and this is all we lose, if we cancel. i think that all camps should do this , as anything could happen between the time you book and the time you go. there was 3 parties of us going away this year, but due to a marital split up we had to cancel one, this cannot be foreseen when you book, but we did get the money back, minus £20.
They would only give you a refund if the site is at fault. Maybe if the weather is really awful you could ask for the holiday to be moved to another date. Really hope you get sorted!

I have just telephoned the site, they say that this week the weather has been fine. There are poeple camping there at present. They could not do a refund, but could change the date or put the £105 we paid for five nights towards a mobile home. This seems very fair to me. I will wait till Saturday and see what the weather is like. Travel maybe a issue with parts of Yorkshire flooded, but that may change.
If its any consolation, what they say about the weather here in Norfolk is right. We have had rain but we have had sunshine too and we have not suffered any major flooding like other parts of the country. We are off camping locally this weekend.
