My 18 yr old daughter and 5 other girls want to go camping in Cornwall for one week in August. My questions are:

  • will a UK site allow 6 18 yr olds ?
  • does anyone know a site near a beach ( and a pub !!) that will have space - preferably close to St Ives

Any advice / guidance , as always , gratefully received.

i think there's a site in newquay that would let them camp, i'm sure someone else will be along.

You should be OK in that they are girls - some sites don't like the idea of 18 year old boys as a group (sexist I know but there you go). Use the campsite search to find a few sites that appeal and give them a call oe drop them an email. If they know what to expect most sites are OK when you arrive.

hi stoneym try rosecliston this site is just outside newquay cornwall this site is very close to the beach & many pubs & clubs & has regular minibuses to newquay the site is used by groups of mixed ages from 16-30 & is very lively.take a look on the campsite search or google it .

Im not sure but a few years ago I seem to remember someone suggested Magic Cove at Newquay, to someone in a group wantin to camp in August.  They may need to find a surfers type campsite.

theres a camp site called sunnyside  i think its a 18/30 sort of site would be ok isuppose if thats what there after

Sunnyside has now been converted into a Hotel so i understand.  But another of the parks in the area has taken over their idea of 18/30 holidays.

If a park has no single sex ruling then it has to apply to females as well as males.

There is a 18 -30 site in Newquay I rang it the other day but can't think of its name, only accept weeks bookings no weekends
