Can anybody recommend a camp site near aberdeen?

we are going up to visit my partners daughter next month, she is living in aberdeen whilst she is at uni.  we had booked a hotel thinking my parents would look after our two dogs but have just found out they are away on holiday at the same time as us.

so we need a site in or as near to aberdeen as possible that accepts dogs.

basic facilities would be fine as we only intend on staying one night, maybe two.

on the site search i noticed one at Nigg, anyone used it?  there is only one review dating back to 2003.

i looked at that one on the site search thingy.  was hoping for something a bit closer if possible but it is definately on the maybe list.  the one at nigg seems to be the best located.

just done a search for the site at nigg and it appears they don't cater for tents any longer

i presume its the same site?

I suggest you try this site at Alford. This is 30 minutes from Aberdeen and although they do not mention taking dogs, the reader in the review took his.

but i think this site is too far away.  we were hoping to have a drink and its a bit of an expensive taxi back to the site!!!
