We are looking for a campsite in or around the warwickshire area. Needs to be able to accomodate a fairly large tent, no hook up required. Would prefer a fairly quiet family friendly site with showers and laundry facilities and a shop but no clubs and a large enough space where my child playing outside his tent is not going to be seen as a nuisance. We have visited Mounts farm in devon the last 2 years and want something similar to there but finding it hard to find one any where near as relaxed and as good as it was there. Can anyone help please?!

Both Warwick and Stratford racecourses have sites,both located in town, so no parking problems. Also one in Meriden close to Coventry often gets recommended on this  site.Use the site search on this site and read reviews.

As a local i have never stopped at any of these sites,i just know the location of the Warwick racecourse is excellent.

Not sure which part of Warwickshire you're looking for, Kingsbury Water Park is nice (C&CC site), which is in the north of the county. There's not much to the south (where I live), but you could then try north Oxfordshire, Cotswold Farm Park and Greenhills both nice sites.

I think Warwick Racecourse is caravans only.

There is also a site at Warmington, a lovely village on the Warwicks/Oxon border, near Edge Hill and Burton Dassett Country Park, has good reviews on here but not stayed there. I have stayed at Wellesbourne and Stratford Racecourse, they are both ok but you might find yourself a long way from the facilities at Stratford.
