hi all. i have looked at the reviews for this park but i was wondering if anyone else has been there and hasnt put a review up. we are heading down to portsmouth from scotland in 2 weeks and the site we had booked has no toilet or shower facilities so we are looking elsewhere. the last review of southsea says the pegging out is a problem. how bad a problem is it because we have a trailer tent and the main part of it needs pegged out. many thanks for your help in advance.
Don't forget to leave a review of the campsites you have visited this year or last!

With all of the rain we've all had of late I can't see you having any difficulty pegging out on hard ground, you'll be hard pressed to find any, there's loads of pitches at Southsea to choose from. I've used it a couple of times as an overnighter and my main gripe is the toilet block didn't appear to be cleaned enough, it was adequate but I wouldn't stay there for my main holiday.
We've stayed at Southsea a couple of times through neccessity rather than choice,we needed to be in the area. The ground is extremely hard, seems to be an in of soil then concrete, the site shop sells the pegs you can use but even then it was really difficult to pitch.
I wouldn't really reccommend the site for any longer than an overnighter, i'd look around a bit more. Though we love Southsea as a place to visit, always seems to have something going on when we visit unless we've just been lucky
we need to be in portsmouth to spend time with my brother for his wedding and we dont want to be to far away from his place so thats why we need portsmouth and thanks for all you replies we have just decided to go with south sea after getting my brother to look at all the sites he said it is the best of a bad lot shame the other sites are so bad he say
