Can anyone recommend campsites that are good for dogs and children with walks off site we could go to for a weekend break?

We have tended to go to the New Forest, which we love but it would be nice to try somewhere different.

My geography isn't great to say the least but possibly Gloucestershire /  Wiltshire / West Sussex, anywhere really that's in about hour or so's drive from Reading (Berkshire)

So when Fridays come and hopefully the sun ,we can just jump in the car and head off.

Don't forget to leave a review of the campsites you have visited this year or last!

Hi Storey; plenty of sites out there that would suit. I would recommend a couple in another direction but still within an hour of you.

Swiss Farm at Henley-on-Thames. Some short walks around the site but near the Thames with good long riverside walks;

Hardwick Parks at Witney, Oxfordshire. Great walks around the lakes.

Hope this helps. If not, others will be along soon.
