Just wondering if anyone who has been to this site knows which (if any) pitches are better than others. Might look at this site next year.

Been to this site twice in October`s 2002/3 when there have only been a handfull of other units there. All the pitches are individual and of a generous size, many are hardstanding but easily pegable (is that a word?!) for awnings. Most pitches are in rows in tiers up a hill. If I remember rightly, the lower pitches are more sheltered with higher hedgeing separating them. The top of the field is flatter and mostly grass with a kiddies play area. There is an outdoor swimming pool beside the shower block which is about midway up the hill.

So depends what sort of pitch you prefer.

We had a lovely time there and will go back again.

They have some excellent bargain tariffs if you stay a week or more at certain times of the year.

We've never been on this site before either but have our first time booked for next month. Sounds great from reviews on here and it must be decent coz it's always one of the prizes on ukcs competitions once a year! I very much doubt that Webby or Ratty would let us win a cra**y prize?

The chap on email sounds lovely. Very helpful and has also assured me that our pitch, (a hardstanding one simply coz it was the only one still available for any two consecutive weeks in August by the time we'd booked), is on the flat as is my hobble to the shower block, which with me being a decrepit is a real bonus.

We've seen the site as we've driven past during our stays on Heligan Woods which is just up the road from Tregarton but never drive in to black our noses

Can't wait! Roll on 18th August
