I've just recently returned from a camping trip in Germany.
On arrival and erecting our tent, the Site owner connected my hook-up to the supply point. When he did this he read the electric meter next to my plug and made a note of it. he said that there would be a €0.50 connection charge which I pay when I leave.
At the end of our weeks holiday, I went to settle my bill and I was a little apprehensive of what it would cost.
Imagine my surprise when I was presented with the bill.
One weeks electric (on 24hrs for coolbox and cooking) including connection fee,
€4.90.
Both you and I know how much we pay here in the UK, £2 sometimes £3 on top of your pitch fee, per DAY.
Why the massive difference????

I also think its value for money at £2 to £3 a night.
We have Halogen heater on when needed.
Straighteners and mobiles.
Kettle and toaster.
Small desk lamp and lantern.
mini fridge.
my son has his portable dvd player on at night.
