Hi all...

This is my first post so apologies if someone else has posted about this before - I'm sure someone probably has but I just can't find it

How do I search for picturesque campsites with a view i.e. overlooking the sea or a river or beach in the UK?

Thanks in advance and what a great web site  can't believe I've only just found it.

Welcome to UKCS - you can use the advance search facility to narrow your search but this doesn't include sea location etc.

I have found the best thing to do is decide what sort of area of the country i want to go to then search by county or town - then i just read through the reports and look at any linked websites - that seems to work for me.

You do know you will get addicted to this site like the rest of us!!

I'm not really that fussed about the location to be honest - I just like waking up in the morning overlooking a beautiful relaxing view of either the sea or a river (or a waterfall would be lovely).

I'll plough thru the counties  but is there a recommended website (or perhaps a book) that anyone can recommend unsual or unique campsites?? I don't remind if it's remote with not many facilities cos for me it's all about waking up with a view.

You can now search by map. which might help narrow your search down??

look here click on area you fancy.

For example South East here

then simply click on the     next to area and you can see a map.

Probably an easier way
