can anyone help i need a good campsite that accomodates kids and a 24ft tent as near to donnington park as i can get any help would be greatfully recieved.

Try this one http://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/sites/reviews.asp?revid=1352 it's right next to the race circuit.  You can just walk through a gate at the top of the site that brings you out at the circuit entrance.

The key point if you're going to the racetrack is that it is Donington (one n) not Donnington (two n's) - it makes a big difference to your sat nav too!
