Hi Everyone. 

Can anyone recomment a camp site in the scottish highlands?  We have three young kids & will require decent facilites and an EHU?  We are going for two weeks and do not mind moving to a different location for the second week.  Any suggestions?

The Glen Nevis site at Fort William and the C&CC Inverewe Gardens site at Poolewe both have decent facilities and EHU, as do several other C&CC sites in the Highlands.

Caolasnacon, Kinlochleven, Nr Glencoe

I would second the recommendations for Caolasncon at Kinlochleven and Glen Nevis site - both are in fantastic locations with wonderful scenery.  The facitlities at Glen Nevis (toilets etc) are probably better as Caolasnacon's facilities are basic, though clean.  I would say though that Caolas......... would be my choice if you are taking kids, no play park but a couple of rope swings, a burn that runs through it great for paddling and endless fishing from the loch.  We have been twice this year and I cannot wait to go back.  You are allowed to have fires by the loch which adds to the barby fun (we hand picked mussels from the loch and cooked them on an open fire - bliss).  Despite no playground all the kids were having a great time (despite the rain).  There is also plenty to do nearby, I cannot recommend both sites enough! 

If you dont want to go to far up try Oban some cracking sites but beware you are moving into the main  West of Scotland peak season, first half of July so it might be busy
