The Forestry Commission site is lovely.  Until this year we've been there a couple of times a year and also over Christmas a couple of years ago.  It's about 10 minute walk into the village where there are pubs and restaurants and a little supermarket (not to mention the ice cream parlour and the gift shop that sells gorgeous fudge!).  You can walk through the forest, up the mountains, it's gorgeous. 

The only thing is that they do tend to cram the tents in a bit at busy times like bank holidays but there are loads of different areas you can pitch, there are large areas but there are also all little areas in trees and whatnot as well. 

It's lovely - give it a go!

Hi, haven't got any photos to share, but we went May Bank Holiday and really enjoyed the site. We ended up on a pitch near the childrens play area, but the pitches down near the river looked really nice (don't think they had EHU though if you need it).

Great site, can definitely recommend it - you won't be disappointed.
