agree with South Shields provided you get the ferry to North Shields for fish n chips at Kristians - tho I've not been for a while.
And ,.. .. unfortunately Spanish City is no more.
hundreds of places on North East coast - especially now all the rape and pillaging has been cleaned up

I agree with Bryan K, Wells next the sea in Norfolk is very quaint and pretty. Sea Palling & Potter Heigham (take a trip down the broads) is also very nice, these are bit further round the coast. Also just been to Shanklin and Sandown in the Isle of Wight, these are lovely seaside towns.
Don't forget to leave a review of the campsites you have visited this year or last!
Gosh Carpman that takes me back - I used to go camping at sea palling with my parents 35 years ago. There was a campsite, a chippy & a pub & the lighthouse used to light up the campsite & keep us awake with its foghorn if a mist blew in. We used to love playing in the dunes.
It's still all there Bryan_K. Not sure about the light house though unless you mean the one further up towards Cromer. There is a bigish Jet Ski scene there now but the beach still has a blue flag award and sometimes you can see the seals that come in quite close to the shore. The bathers and power boaters are kept well apart so there's plenty of room for everyone. It's one of Norfolks best kept secrets.
