We are trying to find a nice coastal touring site, that offers  a clubhouse and a few things for the kids to keep them entertained with (preferrably football)! but not gonna cost the earth.  Somewhere where we can escape for a long weekend also taking along the dog.  With reasonably good shower facilites.  We live nr the dartford tunnel and are hoping to go south but only with a few hours drive.....(sounds a lot to ask doesnt it  ;-)  )

Hope someone can mention a few nice places to stay? thanks guys

Kelly

Stayed at the Southsea site  last Aug. is on listing,

I have trailer tent so pegs not a problem. Went with 4 kids 8/9 yrs old. The clubhouse did reasonable food, there is a good fish n chip shop nearby.

We had a great time, out on the beach, on the hovercraft to the I of W - and round to Hayling Isl. we thought this was good site they also have a small pool. The loos were clean, but obviously when busy not everyone leaves things as they find them.. cost us 2 Adults and 4 kids 1 week with  ehu (in Aug) £128.00 -

Would use this site again, would recommend for stop-overs for ferrys etc,.

If you look at the S.E. region on the site search facility you'll find a multitude of sites around the Kent and East Sussex coast from the Isle of Sheppey right round to Brighton. Two that come to mind are New beach at Dymchurch and Marlie Farm at New Romney, both within a couple of hours or less from the Dartford crossing. Mick
