We're off to Trevornick at the weekend. Trailer packed, roofbox packed, cases packed, well nearly. The last job OH has tasked me with is getting footware for the kids. I'm not sure whether to get sandles or wellys at the moment.

So, any advice from anyone who's just been would be great.

We are in Sun field, so it looks like a long walk to the loos and showers.

We came back a month ago,if it rains heavily you will need wellies. But we noticed the ground drains very quickly,the problems arise when it doesn`t stop raining.

PS it is a long walk to the loos and up a bit of a slope. The views are good though.

Our neighbour who told us about Trevornick has just bottled it and booked for Turkey.

Wish we had.

I came back from Trevornick on Saturday.  I was there for a week in the Corn Field.  Trevornick is a great site and has just has a refit in the communal areas. You are never too far away from loos either wherever you camp.

As much as I love Trevornick I'm afraid to tell you the ground was wet.  Quite alot of muddy spots where groundsheets have been taken up.  Our pitch was a bit of a mess but with a bit of sand thrown down we could cope and had a great week.  The ground does drain fairly quickly there but with the weather we've been having it is only to be expected that the ground is saturated.  No standing water anywhere though.  Just make sure you take something to give your ground sheet a mop.  The good thing about Cornwall is that as soon as the sun comes out it is so strong things dry up. I think you will be OK without wellies.  Just make sure you have something other than open toe sandals!

If it rains you can always go to the fab Gull Rock bar next to the Pond field and have a pint of Rattler Cider - if you dare !!  Have fun in Trevornick next week, you lucky people.  We wish we were still there, rain of shine we love it.
